NOAA’s Winter Outlook

NOAA’s Annual Winter Outlook for the 2013-2014 season was announced on Thursday, November 21. Much of the country is expected to see equal chances of above or below average temperature and precipitation. Notable exceptions include warmer and drier conditions expected in the southern plains and southeastern states, and cooler and wetter conditions expected in the northern Rockies and northern plains. We will be
sure to come back to this seasonal outlook as the winter progresses and check on the accuracy of the forecast.
